Matt Cobb, BSc (Hons)

Background

Matt Cobb has been lucky enough to lead a very international life, growing up in Peru, the U.K. and Indonesia, and subsequently living and working in Portugal, Hungary, the U.K. and Finland. Matt has developed a very interactive, hands-on training style over 15 years of working with clients and managing colleagues from every corner of the globe. As a result, he has a very deep understanding of intercultural communication and gets great satisfaction from raising awareness, developing understanding, improving competence and getting desired results! He has lived in Finland for 7 years and worked closely with Finnish executives from both the private and public sectors.

Expertise

Matt’s key interest areas centre around effective communication. This includes relationship-building (colleagues, teams, partners, suppliers, other stakeholders), team-building, project and change management, leadership and management coaching. Recent work includes an HR Change Management project and pan-Baltic Marketing Communications strategy, coaching and training.

Free time

Matt relishes being physically active and has played many sports over the years. He particularly enjoys tennis, squash, badminton, swimming and cross-country skiing. In addition, he has a great love of nature and the outdoors, taking every opportunity to experience the real world during his travels. Most of his free time, however, is currently devoted to his two small boys, Sam and Ben!
